We are delighted to be able to announce the fifth Legend to be confirmed for the Southend United Legends side on Sunday 17th May.

Andy Edwards, who was born on 17/09/1971, has had two spells at Southend United. He originally came through the youth ranks at the Club, breaking into the first team in December 1989. He then left the Club, joining Birmingham City for a fee of £400K. He then rejoined the Club in May 2004, having been brought back to the Club by then manager Steve Tilson. The 6ft 3” centre back went on to make 191 starts for Southend United across his two spells with a further 13 appearances coming from the bench. He scored 8 goals in the colour of Southend United. Andy also played for Birmingham City, Peterborough, Dagenham & Redbridge, Grays and Aldershot Town.

We are delighted to have Andy onboard, and we look forward to welcoming him on Sunday 17th May.
