Duncan Jupp Signs For The Legends

We are delighted to be able to announce the ninth Legend to be confirmed for the Southend United Legends side on Sunday 17th May.

Duncan Jupp, who was born on 25/01/1975, joined Southend United on a free transfer from Luton Town under previous manager Steve Tilson in July 2003. Duncan played a huge part in helping the Club achieve promotion, via the play offs, to League One back in 2005 by scoring his only goal for the Club in the 2-0 play final victory over Lincoln City. This goal was arguably one of the most important goals in Southend United’s history. He left the Club in the summer of 2006, joining Gillingham on a free transfer. The right back went on to make 113 starts in all competitions at Southend with a further 4 appearances coming from the bench scoring 1 goal. Duncan also played for Fulham, Wimbledon, Notts County, Luton Town, Gillingham and Bognor Regis Town. He also represented his county, Scotland, 9 times at Under 21 level.

We are delighted to have Duncan on board, and we look forward to welcoming him on Sunday 17th May.
