We are delighted to be able to announce that Anthony Grant has signed for the Southend United Legends side to play on Sunday 17th May.
Anthony Grant, who was born on 04/06/1987, came through the ranks at Premier League side Chelsea. From Chelsea, he went out on a succession of loan spells before making his loan spell at Roots Hall permanent on 07/08/2008. He was with the Club for nearly five years before he left to join Stevenage Borough on a free transfer on 13/06/2012. Whilst with the Club, Anthony went on to make 150 starts, with a further 34 appearances coming from the bench. He scored 10 goals from midfield. Anthony also played for Chelsea, Oldham Athletic (Loan), Wycombe Wanderers (Loan), Luton Town (Loan), Stevenage Borough and Crewe Alexandra. Anthony is still playing now in League One with Crewe Alexandra.
